Jenny Willott: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department in what secure accommodation (a) young adults and (b) juvenile offenders attached to Welsh youth offending teams are held; in what secure accommodation such offenders were held in each year since 2000; and if he will make a statement. Mr. Sutcliffe: The information requested could be provided only at disproportionate cost. The following tables show, by custodial establishment, how many young people from Wales were held in the secure estate for children and young people on 24 November in each year from 2000 onwards. Only those over-18s who were serving a juvenile sentence—such as a detention and training order—are included. Those over 18 who are sentenced as young adults are held in the young adult estate and are the responsibility of a Probation Board rather than a Youth Offending Team.
