New Deal for Young People

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how many people returned to the new deal for young people (NDYP) having completed 13 weeks employment and having previously left the NDYP in each quarter since 1998. [125061]

New Deal Schemes

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how many participants there were on the New Deal for Disabled People in each month since January 1998; how many participants had participated on at least one previous occasion; and how many gained employment as a result of their participation in the New Deal for Disabled People. [125801]

[holding answer 6 March 2007]: The new deal for disabled people programme started in July 2001. Since then 21,000 people have participated on the programme on more than one occasion and 124,300 people have gained a job.
The number of participants on new deal for disabled people in each month since the start of the programme is in the table.
