Running Costs expenditure shown does not include all NHS expenditure within the area. Expenditure on general dental services and pharmaceutical services accounted for by the Dental Practice Board and Prescription Pricing Authority, respectively, are excluded. This expenditure cannot be included within the figures for the individual health bodies as they are not included in commissioner accounts.
Capital expenditure includes expenditure by NHS trusts within the authority areas but services provided by the NHS trusts may not be restricted to the particular strategic health authority areas.
Expenditure by NHS foundation trusts is not included
