Probation: Finance

Mr. Heath: To ask the Secretary of State for Justice what the budget was of each local probation service in each of the last 10 years. [150791]

Mr. Hanson: The resource budget allocations to probation boards from 2001-02 are given in the table. Prior to 2001-02, probation services were delivered through local Probation Committees which were partly funded by local authorities and were organised on a slightly different basis.
