Mr. Amess:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many abortions were carried out at each week of gestation (a) between four and 17 weeks and (b) from 24 weeks in 2006; what the (i) age of mother, (ii) residency of mother, (iii) grounds for abortion, (iv) marital status of mother, (v) number of previous children and (vi) number of previous abortions were in each case; and how many and what percentage of those abortions were performed in the (A) public and (B) private sectors.
