The Asylum and Immigration Tribunal (AIT) was created by a merger of the Immigration Appellate Authority (IAA) and the Immigration Appeals Tribunal (IAT). (4) Prior to 4 April 2005 based on data supplied from the Presenting Officers Unit within the Home Office. From 4 April 2005 based on information supplied by the AIT. Community Support Officers: Young People

Keith Vaz: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many police community support officers there are under the age of 18 years. [155646]

Mr. McNulty: The information requested is not collected centrally in the police personnel statistics series. The age of serving police community support officers is collected in the following age brackets only.

The recruitment and deployment of PCSOs are operational matters for the police authority and chief constable of each force.

Crime

Mr. Ruffley: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many crimes were committed per head of population in each police force area in each year since 1997. [158856]
