Mr. Gordon Prentice: To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many people are employed by the Healthcare Commission to deal with NHS complaints; and what the cost was of administering this function in the last 12 months. [160471]
Mr. Bradshaw: We understand from the Chairman of the Healthcare Commission that there are currently approximately 160 staff working on the independent review of NHS complaints. In 2006-07, the cost of the Commission's complaints work was £11.4 million.
Lynne Featherstone: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what the waiting times are for digital hearing aid (a) assessment and (b) fitting in each London primary care trust; and if he will make a statement. [161532]
Mr. Ivan Lewis: The information requested can be found in the following table. The figure in the table is for both the assessment and the fitting. Figures are not held separately for fittings.
Mr. Laxton: To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) how many children and young people under the age of 16 years were diagnosed with hepatitis C in each of the last five years; and if he will make a statement; [160518]
(2) how many people over the age of 59 years were diagnosed with hepatitis C in each of the last five years; and if he will make a statement. [160528]
