BORDERS BILL
I have received an e-mail explaining the contents of the Borders Bill. It seems to be a major piece of legislation with consequences for civil liberties, and our relations with the stranger living in our midst. Pleas would you do all you can to prevent this bill from being rushed through without proper discussion. Many Christians and Jews have views on our relations with foreign people living among us, and we are mindful of the Hebrew Bible teaching that we should love them as ourselves. This implies that they should be treated equally with ourselves. We should be allowed time to discuss these things, so that we can bring our considered views into discussion.
