2 Extent of the proposal's application
11. The proposed Order would apply to England and
Wales. The Department indicates that the National Assembly for
Wales, which was consulted as required by the Regulatory Reform
Act 2001, had no comment to make on the proposals.
12. It is indicated in the Explanatory Statement
that the Scottish Executive is planning to undertake its own review
of game legislation in 2007. Similarly, it is intended that there
will be a review of game legislation in Northern Ireland in 2007.
