Memorandum submitted by the Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL)
· ATL would like to ask HMCI what overlap she could detect between Section 5 school inspections and the work of the School Improvement Partner (SIP), working in conjunction with local authorities. Further, does she believe that, given the new approach of targeted inspections which Ofsted is adopting, that the local authority/SIP process may come to have the greater impact for the majority of schools?
