Mobile phone "roaming" charges: Rt Hon. Margaret Hodge
MP, Minister for Industry and the Regions, Department of Trade
and Industry, Mr Nigel Hickson, Deputy Director of EU ICT Policy,
Business Relations Unit, and Ms Eve Race, Head of Legal Group
dealing with Business, Consumers and Employment, Department of
Trade and Industry, were examined.
Draft Report, proposed by the Chairman, brought up and read.
Ordered, That the draft
Report be read a second time, paragraph by paragraph.
Paragraphs 1.1 to 6.7 read and agreed to.
Paragraph 6.8 read. Amendment proposed, in line 3,
to leave out the words "although we do not think they give
rise to any issues requiring further consideration, we think it
right, in clearing them, to draw them to the attention of the
House" and to insert the words "we recommend the documents
for debate in European Standing Committee".(Mr
William Cash.)
Question put that the Amendment be made.
