8    Message from the Lords,—A Message from the Lords was brought as follows:

    The Lords have passed the Government Spending (Website) Bill [Lords] to which the Lords desire the concurrence of this House.

9    Employment Retention,—Ordered, That leave be given to bring in a Bill to make provision for a statutory right to rehabilitation leave for newly disabled people and people whose existing impairments change; and for connected purposes: And that John Robertson, Jim Sheridan, Miss Anne Begg, Mr David Blunkett, Mr Jimmy Hood, John Bercow, Dr Alasdair McDonnell, Julie Morgan, Danny Alexander, Mr Mike Weir and Ann McKechin do prepare and bring it in.

10    Employment Retention Bill,—John Robertson accordingly presented a Bill to make provision for a statutory right to rehabilitation leave for newly disabled people and people whose existing impairments change; and for connected purposes: And the same was read the first time; and ordered to be read a second time on Friday 18th May and to be printed [Bill 79].

11    Consolidated Fund (Appropriation) Bill,—The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the Consolidated Fund (Appropriation) Bill;

    And a Motion being made, and the Question being put forthwith pursuant to Standing Order No. 56 (Consolidated Fund Bills), That the Bill be now read a second time:—It was agreed to.

12    Statistics and Registration Service Bill (Programme) (No. 2),—Ordered, That the Order of 8th January 2007 (Statistics and Registration Service Bill (Programme)) be varied as follows:

    1. Paragraphs 4 and 5 of the Order shall be omitted.

    2. Proceedings on consideration shall be taken in the following order: new Clauses 1 to 4; amendments relating to Clause 36; remaining new Clauses; amendments relating to Clauses 1 to 35; amendments relating to Clauses 37 to 73; new Schedules; amendments to Schedules; remaining proceedings on consideration.

16    Business of the House,—Ordered, That, at the sitting on Wednesday 14th March, the Speaker shall put the Questions necessary to dispose of proceedings on the Motion in the name of the Prime Minister relating to Trident not later than 7 o'clock or six hours after their commencement, whichever is the later, such Questions shall include the Questions on any Amendments selected by the Speaker which may then be moved, proceedings may continue, though opposed, after the moment of interruption and Standing Order No. 41A (Deferred divisions) shall not apply.—(Mr Frank Roy.)

17    Public Petition,—A Public Petition from constituents from the Isle of Arran opposed to replacement of Trident nuclear weapons against the current trident nuclear missile system and any plans to update or replace that system was presented and read; and ordered to lie upon the Table and to be printed.
