The House met at half-past Ten o'clock.

PRAYERS.

1    Deferred Divisions,—The Deputy Speaker announced that in the Deferred Division on Wednesday 28th March relating to the Motion on Immigration the number of Ayes had been erroneously reported as 342 and the number of Noes as 49, instead of 366 and 52 respectively, which were the correct numbers.

    Whereupon the Deputy Speaker directed the Clerk to correct the number in the Journal accordingly, viz.: Ayes 366, Noes 52.

2    Adjournment (Matters to be considered before the forthcoming Adjournment),—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House do now adjourn—(Mr John Heppell);

    The Motion was, with leave of the House, withdrawn.

3    Public Petition,—A Public Petition from David Cain, residents of Essex, Dorset and others for free postage for items sent by friends and families to members of HM Armed Forces stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan was presented and read; and ordered to lie upon the Table and to be printed.

4    Adjournment,—Resolved, That this House do now adjourn.—(Jonathan Shaw.)

    And accordingly, the House, having continued to sit till twenty-eight minutes to Six o'clock, adjourned till Monday 16th April, pursuant to Resolution [27th February].
