Baroness Sharples to ask Her Majesty's Government how they intend to respond to present levels of incidence of human tuberculosis in light of current migratory patterns.Baroness Pitkeathley to ask Her Majesty's Government whether they intend to retain questions about carers and caring in the 2011 census. Lord Taylor of Holbeach to ask Her Majesty's Government whether they propose to extend the country of origin definition in respect of food labelling.

Oral questions - Lord Sheldon to ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the prospects for the manufacturing industry in the United Kingdom. Earl of Sandwich to ask Her Majesty's Government whether an enlarged diplomatic presence in Kabul indicates a new emphasis on reconstruction and development in Afghanistan. Baroness Rendell of Babergh to ask Her Majesty's Government whether they propose to support the service provided by the InterAct Reading Service, which supplies professional actors to read to stroke patients in hospital.

Oral questions - Lord Willoughby de Broke to ask Her Majesty's Government whether the exclusive mandate given by the European Council on 23 June to any future intergovernmental conference on the European Union is legally binding. Lord Smith of Clifton to ask Her Majesty's Government whether they intend to require all public companies to disclose the pay gap between directors and their employees. Lord Wallace of Saltaire whether they will publish a paper setting out which aspects of the Justice and Home Affairs provisions of the European Union Treaties they have opted out of, and on which of those aspects they have formal or informal opt-in arrangements.

Oral questions - Baroness Byford to ask Her Majesty's Government what role they envisage British agriculture playing in reaching the Road Transport Fuel Obligation target. Lord Grantchester to ask Her Majesty's Government what action they now propose to take to combat the incidence of tuberculosis in cattle following the recent Independent Scientific Group report. Baroness Gardner of Parkes to ask Her Majesty's Government how many commonholds have been registered under the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002; and what encouragement they are giving to developers to build residential commonhold properties on the Olympic site.
