Oral questions - Lord Beaumont of Whitley to ask Her Majesty's Government what progress has been made in developing renewable energy policies other than through the European Emissions Trading Scheme.

Lord Sheikh to ask Her Majesty's Government whether they will bring forward the increased spending allocations for flood defences from 2010-11 to 2008-09. Baroness Stern to ask Her Majesty's Government what are the main changes being made in the work of prisons and Young Offenders Institutions to enable the Prison Service to keep within its budget. Lord Redesdale to ask Her Majesty's Government when they will give effect to their pledge to consult Parliament about whether the Prime Minister should be required to seek the approval of the House of Commons before asking the Monarch for a dissolution

Oral questions - Baroness Rawlings to ask Her Majesty's Government what measures they are taking to protect British charities and non-governmental organisations from terrorist attacks or hostilities conducted by foreign governments when abroad. Lord Dubs to ask Her Majesty's Government what steps they will take to ensure that civil servants are not compelled to retire at the age of 60 or 65. Lord Roberts of Conwy to ask Her Majesty's Government why they propose to increase business taxes when the country may face an economic downturn

Oral questions - Baroness Miller of Hendon to ask Her Majesty's Government whether they will put proposals to banks, building societies and financial services providers with a view to reducing the number of personal bankruptcies, mortgage repossessions and Individual Voluntary Arrangements; and whether they will introduce legislation on these matters in the absence of co-operation from these lenders. Viscount Bridgeman to ask Her Majesty's Government whether they will make representations to Royal Mail about its withdrawal of collections on Sundays and Bank Holidays, due to take effect from 28 October. Lord Roberts of Llandudno to ask Her Majesty's Government what contribution they will make to the world summit on tackling human trafficking to be held in Vienna from 13 to 15 February 2008

Oral questions - Lord Trefgarne to ask Her Majesty's Government whether the doctrine of Cabinet collective responsibility applies to Her Majesty's current Ministers. Baroness Rendell of Babergh to ask Her Majesty's Government what progress has been made in combating the crime of female genital mutilation, and whether a reward by the Metropolitan Police of £20,000 for information leading to prosecution has assisted the Government's efforts. Lord Bishop of Southwell and Nottingham to ask Her Majesty's Government what are the consequences for the health of individuals and for demands on the National Health Service of people regularly working for more than 48 hours per week.

Oral questions - Baroness Cox to ask Her Majesty's Government what assistance they will provide to the government of Uganda in response to the recent flooding; and what support they are providing for the on-going peace initiatives in that country. Baroness Ludford to ask Her Majesty's Government when they last considered the effectiveness of the ban on passengers taking liquids aboard commercial aircraft. Baroness Walmsley to ask Her Majesty's Government how they intend to improve the safety of children when they undertake paid work.

Lord Anderson of Swansea to ask Her Majesty's Government what is their assessment of the prospects for an international agreement on the future of Kosovo.
