SUMMER ADJOURNMENT 2008
Members wishing to table Questions in person may do so in the usual way in the Table Office until 7.30 p.m. or the rising of the House (whichever is earlier) on Tuesday 22nd July. Thereafter, they may table oral and written Questions electronically or by post.
TABLING ARRANGEMENTS FOR QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER
Under Standing Order No. 22(6), The Speaker has made the following arrangements for tabling Questions for oral answer in the first sitting week in October:
*The shuffle will be held at 12.30 p.m.
For further details of last tabling days, see the Order of Questions rota available from the Vote Office and on the Bulletin Board on the parliamentary intranet at http://intral.parliament.uk/bb/bb.htm
The results of the shuffles on Monday 29th September will be published on Tuesday 30th September in a blue unofficial notice paper available from the Vote Office and on http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm200708/cmordbk2/cmob2.htm
QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER ON A NAMED DAY
The latest time for tabling a Question for written answer on a named day before the Summer Adjournment is 6.30 p.m., or the rising of the House if earlier, on Thursday 17th July (for answer on Tuesday 22nd July). Between this time and the rising of the House on Tuesday 22nd July, the earliest named day for a Question for written answer is Monday 6th October.
After the House has risen for the summer adjournment, Members may table named day Questions for written answer on each of the recess answering days under the terms of Standing Order No. 22B, and the Order of the House of 4th June, as follows.
After the tabling days for ‘recess Questions’, Members will be able to table Questions for answer on a named day once the House has returned as follows:
