Housing: Expenditure

Mr. Meacher: To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government how much was spent on housing (a) in 2007 prices and (b) as a percentage of gross national product in each year since 1980; and what percentage of each year’s total was spent on (i) owner-occupied housing, (ii) registered social landlord/housing corporation housing and (iii) council housing.
