Foreign and Commonwealth Office

Funding of Political Parties

The Minister for Europe (Mr. Jim Murphy): ...The Government support the proposal in the draft regulation to enable European political parties to carry over funding. Political parties will be allowed to carry over 20 per cent. of annual total income from one year to the first quarter of the following year .—[European Standing Committee, 11 December 2007; c. 3]

Letter of correction from Mr. Murphy:

I should like to correct what I said in my opening speech in the European Standing Committee debate on “Funding of Political Parties”. In fact, European political parties will be allowed to carry over 25 per cent. of annual total income.

I am copying this letter to John Cummings, Chairman of the Standing Committee.

Cancer

Mr. Jamie Reed: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what the incidence of cancer was in each (a) constituency, (b) primary care trust area, (c) hospital trust area, (d) region and (e) social demographic group in the most recent period for which figures are available. [171907]

[Official Report, 11 December 2007, Vol. 469, c. 358W.]

Letter of correction from Angela Eagle:

Errors have unfortunately been identified in Table 1 and 2 of the written answer given on 11 December 2007, Official Report, column 358W by Mr. Colin Mowl on behalf of the National Statistician. The tables should have read as follows:
