Children: Maintenance

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions what proportion of parents with care on income support and income-based job seeker's allowance received maintenance in each region in each quarter since January 1997. [174726]
Mr. Plaskitt:
The administration of the Child Support Agency is a matter for the Chief Executive. He will write to the hon. Member with the information requested.

In reply to your recent parliamentary question about the Child Support Agency, the Secretary of State promised a substantive reply from the Chief Executive.
You asked the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what proportion of parents with care on income support and income-based job seeker's allowance received maintenance in each region in each quarter since January 1997. [174726]
The information you requested is provided in the attached table which shows the proportion of those parents with care in receipt of Income Support or Income Based Jobseeker's Allowance who have been assessed as due to receive maintenance and who do so.
