Sentencing

Mr. Garnier: To ask the Secretary of State for Justice how many and what proportion of (a) adult and (b) young offenders found guilty of (i) sexual offences, (ii) violence against the person and (iii) robbery in each of the last 10 years for which figures are available were given community sentences. [209700]

Mr. Hanson: The requested information is contained in the following table. The data are a further breakdown of statistics contained in Table 1.2 of the Ministry of Justice statistical bulletin, “Sentencing Statistics 2006”.
