In particular, the White Paper suggests improvements for the MUR service, including allowing PCTs to prioritise MURs to meet their local health priorities, including health improvement, and to monitor the service more effectively. Ministers agree that the White Paper should not dictate to the service exactly how things should be done. Instead, it should allow us to move forward in the spirit of partnership with those charged with commissioning and delivering pharmacy services. We have therefore recently held several listening events around the country, which were well attended. They have helped to inform our thinking, and we will discuss our proposals in more detail with interested parties over the coming months. I am confident that my hon. Friend will contribute to that process of listening and acting.
