Skunk Cannabis

Tim Loughton: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what estimate her Department has made of trends in the average street price of skunk cannabis in the last two years. [216998]

Mr. Coaker: Street prices of drugs vary considerably and are dependent on a number of factors such as demand, availability and quality. In 2006, the average street price for one ounce of skunk cannabis was estimated at £118. In 2007, the price for one ounce of skunk cannabis ranged between £100 and £200, the average price being estimated at £136.

Tim Loughton: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how much skunk cannabis was seized in each year since 1997, broken down by local authority area. [218419]

Mr. Coaker: The information requested is not collected centrally. Skunk cannabis is not separately identifiable in the Home Office’s drug seizures collection.

Crime

Mr. Ruffley: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many (a) violent crime offences, (b) car crime offences, (c) robberies, (d) burglaries, (e) thefts and (f) criminal damage offences there were per 1,000 head of population for each police area in England and Wales in 2007. [219147]

Mr. Coaker: The information requested is not currently available. Detailed recorded crime data for 2007-08 will be published in “Crime in England and Wales 2007/08” on 17 July 2008.

Crimes of Violence: Cambridgeshire

Mr. Moss: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many crimes of violence against the person were recorded in (a) Cambridgeshire Constabulary area and (b) Cambridge Constabulary Central Division in each of the last five years. [217078]
