Second Special Report
1. The Committee published its Sixth Report of Session
2007-08, Refuse Collection: Waste Reduction Pilots, on
21 February 2008. The Government's response, in the form of a
joint memorandum from the Department for Communities and Local
Government and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural
Affairs, was received on 22 April 2008, and is set out as an Appendix
to this Report.
2. In the Appendix, the paragraph numbers given and
the text of the paragraphs set in bold type are taken from the
Committee's Sixth Report.
