Memorandum submitted by Bowmoor Sailing Club

I am writing on behalf of Bowmoor Sailing club. We have found that the occasional licensing scheme works very well. However to have a liquor license for a year for members to buy liquor appears to extremely expensive and appears to be quite a complicated process. We would not sell a lot of liquor but people would like to purchase a pint after sailing and a license would improve the facilities that we have to offer.

Would it be possible to have a license to sell a small amount of Liquor say the equivalent of 10 to 20 pints per week with a similar process and price to an occasional licence. We would then be happy to get an occasional licence and pay for it when ever we had a special event and were likely to sell in excess of our basic license.
