Ninth Special Report
On 25 June 2008 the Innovation, Universities, Science
and Skills Committee published its Sixth Report of Session 2007-08,
Biosecurity in UK research laboratories [HC 360-I]. On
25 September 2008 the Committee received a memorandum from
the Government which contained a response to the Report. The memorandum
is published as an appendix to this Report. We are still waiting
for a complete response to our recommendation relating to the
redevelopment of the Institute for Animal Health, Pirbright.
As the end of the 2007-08 parliamentary session approaches we
have still not received a complete reply, which is regrettable,
and we hope to receive this information as soon as possible.
