First Special Report
The Constitutional Affairs Committee[1]
(the predecessor Committee of the Justice Committee) published
its Sixth Report of Session 2006-07 on The creation of the
Ministry of Justice, on 26 July 2007, as HC 466. The Government
response was received on 16 November 2007 in the form of a Memorandum
to the Committee which is appended below.
1 On 6 November 2007, the Constitutional Affairs Committee
was renamed the Justice Committee (JSC) by order of the House
