1    Haltemprice and Howden Writ,—Ordered, That the Speaker do issue his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for the electing of a Member to serve in this present Parliament for the County Constituency of Haltemprice and Howden in the room of David Michael Davis, who since his election for the said County Constituency has accepted the Office of Steward or Bailiff of Her Majesty's Three Chiltern Hundreds of Stoke, Desborough and Burnham, in the county of Buckingham.—(Mr Patrick McLoughlin.)

2    London Local Authorities (Shopping Bags) Bill,—The Order of the day being read for the Second Reading of the London Local Authorities (Shopping Bags) Bill;

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Thursday 26th June.

3    Manchester City Council Bill [Lords],—The Order of the day being read for resuming the adjourned Debate on the Question proposed on 12th June, That the Manchester City Council Bill [Lords] be now read a second time;

    Ordered, That the Debate be resumed Thursday 26th June.

4    Bournemouth Borough Council Bill [Lords],—The Order of the day being read for the Second Reading of the Bournemouth Borough Council Bill [Lords];

9    Regulatory Enforcement and Sanctions Bill [Lords],—Mr Christopher Chope reported from the Regulatory Enforcement and Sanctions Bill [Lords] Committee:

    (1) a Memorandum; and

    (2) That it had gone through the Bill and made an Amendment thereunto.

    Memoranda (reported on 17th June and this day) to be printed.

    Bill, as amended in the Public Bill Committee, to be considered to-morrow.

10    Message from the Lords,—A Message was brought from the Lords as follows:

    The Lords agree to the European Union (Amendment) Bill, without Amendment.

    The Lords agree to the London Local Authorities and Transport for London Bill, with Amendments, to which they desire the concurrence of this House.

11    Royal Assent,—The Speaker notified the House, in accordance with the Royal Assent Act 1967, That Her Majesty had signified her Royal Assent to the following Acts, agreed upon by both Houses:

    European Union (Amendment) Act 2008

    St. Austell Market Act 2008.

12    Eco-towns (Topical Debate),—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House has considered the matter of eco-towns—(Caroline Flint);

    And it being one and half hours after the commencement of proceedings, the Motion lapsed without Question put, pursuant to Temporary Standing Order (Topical debates).

13    Defence Procurement,—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House has considered the matter of defence procurement—(Mr Bob Ainsworth);

    And it being Six o'clock, the Motion lapsed without Question put.

14    Adjournment.
