(1) In 2008-09, seven police authorities were proposed with capping action:
Lincolnshire—in year designated (capped). Required to reduce budget from £116.6 million to £100.6 million.
Bedfordshire—Nominated. Will be measured against a notional budget of £95.8 million in 2009-10 and 2010-11.
Norfolk—Nominated. Will be measured against a notional budget of £137.9 million in 2009-10 and 2010-11.
Surrey—Nominated. Will be measured against a notional budget of £189.6 million in 2009-10 and 2010-11.
Cheshire, Leicestershire and Warwickshire—Nominated with future designation. Budget increases restricted at a level equivalent to a maximum council tax increase of 3 per cent. in 2009-10 and 2010-11.
(2) In 2009-10, two police authorities are currently being considered for capping action, Derbyshire and Surrey.
