The British ambassador called on the Iraqi human rights Minister on 13 April and reminded him of the Iraqi Government’s earlier assurances about the treatment of Ashraf’s residents—that no resident of Camp Ashraf will be

forcibly transferred to a country where they have reason to fear persecution. We will constantly monitor the situation.

Recent events in Iran should be cause for even more concern than in the past.
