Primary Care Trusts: Greater Manchester

Graham Stringer: To ask the Secretary of State for Health which primary care trusts in the Greater Manchester area have a financial deficit against their budget for 2009-10; and how much the deficit is in each such case. [287730]

Ann Keen: There are no primary care trusts within the Greater Manchester area that are forecasting a deficit in the 2009-10 financial year.

Primary Care Trusts: Wakefield

Jon Trickett: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what revenue allocations were made to each primary care trust in Wakefield in each year since 2003-04. [288665]

Ann Keen: The revenue allocations made to primary care trusts (PCTs) in Wakefield for the period 2003-04 to 2010-11 are shown in the following tables.

Queen Mary's Hospital Sidcup

Mr. Evennett: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what recent representations his Department has received on the future of Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup. [282753]

Mr. Mike O'Brien: In relation to the future of Queen Mary's hospital Sidcup between 1 September 2008 and 29 June 2009, the Department's correspondence and parliamentary questions database shows approximately 400 letters, of which, approximately 150 are about the future of services. There were 22 parliamentary questions found but there were no ministerial meetings or debates.

Sexual Offences: Health Professionals

Mr. Willis: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what funding his Department has allocated for specialist support and remedial treatment services for patients who have been sexually abused by health workers for the period 2007-2012. [286730]

Ann Keen: No specific allocation is made for this purpose.

Smoking

Mike Penning: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what estimate he has made of the proportion of (1) deaths which were attributable to smoking in each of the last 10 years; [284737]

(2) adults who were smokers in each of the last five years. [284748]

Gillian Merron: The prevalence of smoking and the numbers of deaths from smoking have both significantly reduced over the past 10 years (from the latest data available). In England there are around 2.5 million fewer smokers since 1998 and the number of deaths from smoking has been reduced to around 82,000 per year.

Social Services

Andrew George: To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many people have received care packages following an assessment by social services in each local authority in each of the last five years; and if he will make a statement. [286988]

Phil Hope: The NHS Health and Social Care Information Centre has provided data on all adults aged 18 and over who received social care services as a result of a community care assessment by councils with adult social services responsibilities in each of the last five years. The information has been placed in the Library.

Andrew George: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what the cost of (a) continuing care assessments and (b) core assessments by social services in each local authority was in each of the last five years; and if he will make a statement. [286990]
