Mr. Laws: To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families how many maintained nurseries have closed in each of the last five years; and if he will make a statement. [298817]

The reason for a change of placement is not collected centrally and so we cannot distinguish between planned placement moves and placement breakdowns.
