Written evidence to be published. 16 Second Delegated Legislation Committee Mr Eric Martlew (Chairman) reported the draft Work and Families (Increase of Maximum Amount) Order 2009. 17 European Committee A in respect of Unnumbered Explanatory Memorandum dated 6 May 2009, relating to Genetically Modified Maize Mr Gary Streeter (Chairman) reported the following Resolution: That the Committee takes note of the two unnumbered explanatory memoranda from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs dated 6 May 2009 concerning the placing on the market, in accordance with Directive 2001/18/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, of maize products (Zea mays L., line Bt11 and Zea mays L., line 1507) genetically modified for resistance to certain lepidopteran pests; and supports the Government's view that all the requirements of the Directive have been met in relation to these products and that their proposed authorization for cultivation should be granted.
