OT 308: Letter to the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs from the Chairman of the Committee
Falkland Islands
At its meeting yesterday the Foreign Affairs Committee discussed air fares between the Falkland Islands and RAF Brize Norton and what it understands have been recent changes to the price of travel, as well as the withdrawal of concessions for children.
The Committee would be grateful for a memorandum setting out the FCO's current policy and future plans in relation to the provision of flights between the UK and the Falkland Islands, particularly the pricing structure for passengers, including young people travelling to the UK to attend educational establishments.
