OT 343: E-mail from Ben Roberts:Turks and Caicos Islands

 

Though others might not have acknowledged your efforts, and that of your Committee, in bringing about the Commission of Inquiry in Turks and Caicos I, and other Turks and Caicos citizens, absolutely applaud those efforts. This earlier correspondence from my email archives[1] shows the chronology and tenor of contact at the time. It definitely bolsters your Committee's argument that responsible parties were asleep at the wheel at the time, and flies in the face of Hon. Gillian Merron's contention that the debacle in Turks and Caicos is one of their own doing, since in this instance I (and I know others who did the same at the time) am advising their Overseer, and the ultimate authority in Turks and Caicos from going forward with a questionable and unseemly action.
