OT 319: E-mail from Diana Williams, Bermuda

I am one of the many concerned citizens in Bermuda who feel the present Government is displaying a frightening irresponsible attitude toward the welfare of The People of Bermuda.

They are spending The Peoples money to effect their own welfare and luxurious living. Building projects continuously go over budget with no documentation of records or receipts are shown or given. When challenged the enquiry is put on the back burner and not heard from again.

The laws of the land are continuouslly circumvented and one can only suspect there is wholesale corruption and theft.

If this is allowed to persist I feel that this island will never recover. The wealthy with their ability to leave will do so. The degree of poverty here is at a disturbing level. The Offshore companies can and will leave with no difficulty in relocating. I am therefore requesting and appealing to your Committee to instigate a Commission of Enquiry into removing this present Government, and to register a vote of "No Confidence" by The People of Bermuda. I also respectfully request your recognition to this correspondence at your earliest convenience, hopefully a stop can be placed on this Government before it is too late.
