extend the criteria under which music and sports video works and |

documentaries lose their exemption from classification. |
| |
Be it enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and |
| |
consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present |
| |
Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:— |
| |
1 | Exemptions from classification |
| |
(1) | In Section 2 of the Video Recordings Act 1984 amend subsection (2) as follows. |
| |
(2) | In paragraph (b), for “mutilation or torture of, or other acts of gross” there is |
| |
| |
(3) | In paragraph (c) after “organs,” there is inserted “or anus,”. |

(4) | After paragraph (c), there is inserted “(ca) breasts or buttocks in a sexualised or |
| |
| |
(5) | After paragraph (d) there is inserted— |
| |
“(e) | dangerous behaviour; |
| |
(f) | racist, homophobic or other discriminatory language;” |

(6) | For “falling within paragraph (b)”, substitute “falling within paragraphs (b), |

2 | Short title and commencement |
| |
(1) | This Act may be cited as the Video Recordings (Exemption from Classification) |

(2) | This Act shall come into force on the day following the day on which it is |
