Letter from the Speaker of the House of Commons to Damian Green MP

  Thank you for your letter of 26 March.

When the Director of Public Prosecutions wrote to me originally his letter was marked "Private and Confidential". I was therefore surprised to discover that that letter had been released to other parties without my being informed. You are now asking me to release my reply which was also sent on a confidential basis. I am not prepared to do this.
