the provisions of the Gangmasters (Licensing) Act 2004 to the

and Temporal, and Commons, in this present |

Parliament assembled, and
by the authority of the same, as follows:— |

of provisions |

(1) |
The Gangmasters (Licensing)
Act 2004 is amended as follows. |
|
|
(2) |
After section 3(1)(a) insert— |
|
|
“(ab) |
construction work,”. |
|
|
(3) |
After section 3(3) insert— |
|

“(3A) |
In subsection (1)(ab) “construction
work” means work in the |
|
|
|
|
(3B) |
In this Act “the
construction industry” means the activities of the |
|
|
construction
industry as defined in sub-paragraphs (a) to (i) of |
|
|
paragraph
1 of Schedule 1 to the Industrial Training (Construction |
|

Board)
Order 1964 (S.I. 1964/1079).”. |

(4) |
Title, after “agricultural
work,” insert “construction work,”. |

|
|
There
shall be paid out of money provided by Parliament any increase
attributable to |
|
|
this
Act in the sums payable under any other Act out of money so provided. |

Transitional
etc. arrangements |
|
|
(1) |
The Secretary of State may
make such transitional, transitory or saving |
|
|
provision as he considers
appropriate. |
