34. Letter to Rt Hon Andrew Mackay

Thank you for your e-mail of 6 July responding to
my letter of 23 June with the correspondence from the former Head
of the Fees Office.
I was grateful for this response. In view of what
you say about the telephone conversation in May 2009, I will need
to show your letter to the former Head of the Fees Office for
any comments he may wish to make.
As you will know, I now have two different recollections
of your meeting in September 1997. I will need to reflect on this
in my memorandum to the Committee. I would be grateful to know,
therefore, whether you wish to modify in any way your recollection
of the discussion in the light of what the former Head of the
Fees Office has told me. Once I have your response to this request,
I will then write to him.
Could you also confirm that the completion date for
your Bromsgrove property [address] was September 1997?
I look forward to hearing from you, I hope within
the next week.
