To the House of Commons,

Further to the Standards and privileges committee report of 3rd February regarding a complaint made against me by Mr Barry Stone, I have read the report and accept the finding of the report and therefore at the request of the committee apologise to the House of Commons for my misjudgement in accepting the offer to relinquish my tenancy at Dolphin Square.

I am pleased that the commissioner and the committee have taken all the mitigating circumstances into account regarding my decision whilst also accepting that the actions taken were ultimately mine to decide.
