We have been contacted by "Patient Concern"
which is deeply worried by the proposed change in the law in Wales
on consent to donation. We completely agree with them.
It has been said that "Presumed Consent"
is "Pretend Consent" and that is true.
Even when real consent has been given by the prospective
donor as now it is questionable whether enough information about
the process has been made available. Donors are described as "dead"
by a set of criteria which are not recognised by other countries.
Britain's Chief Rabbi has recently spoken about the matter.
