The MyWorkSearch Service

MyWorkSearch has created a powerful online toolkit, training and support programme for jobseekers. It assists job seekers by providing:

(i) Comprehensive web-based training to help jobseekers build the skills needed to get a job in today’s market.

(ii) Live interactive training, support and advice via a regular programme of online webinars.

(iii) Confidence training delivered using eLearning modules and live webinars.

(iv) Job Finder software that scans over 100 job boards and 600,000 vacancies daily to ensure each jobseeker can rapidly find all suitable jobs.

(v) Assistance to help the jobseeker prepare professional, targeted CVs and job applications.

(vi) Expert training, preparation and support to maximise performance in interviews.

(vii) Training for handling assessment tests and selection centres.

(viii) Personalised "next step" advice to the jobseeker designed by our occupational psychologists.

(ix) Integrated dedicated workflow management tools and a separate email address to track the jobseeker’s progress and to help applicants meet deadlines.

(x) Dashboard reporting to monitor and report on the jobseekers’ activity levels.

Individuals properly equipped with these job-seeking skills find jobs faster, reducing the time they are claiming benefits and more quickly returning them to being a tax payer. MyWorkSearch requires only normal Internet access and moderate Internet/computer skills, and is available 24/7 ensuring jobseekers have the access they need when they need it.

Recent research of our members showed that 46% had found work and 92% of those stated that our service contributed to this outcome.

MyWorkSearch’s deployment of technology enables our services to incur a subscription charge that is far lower than typical outplacement provision that also provide less comprehensive services. In some cases employers cover this cost for departing employees. Qualifying benefits claimants can currently have their subscription paid by Jobcentre Plus via the budget for Newly Unemployed Professionals.
