That the Committee takes note of European Union Document No. 8333/11 and Addenda 1 to 3, a White Paper: Roadmap to a Single European Transport Area-Towards a competitive and resource efficient transport system; and supports the Government’s aim to ensure that the European Commission’s proposals are practical and proportionate and avoid excessive regulatory burdens on business, while respecting the principles of subsidiarity.
