Secretary Caroline Spelman, supported by the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, Secretary Vince Cable and Richard Benyon, presented a Bill to make provision for the giving of financial assistance for the purpose of securing the reduction of charges for the supply of water and the provision of sewerage services and in connection with the construction of, and the carrying out of works in respect of, water and sewerage infrastructure.
Bill read the first time; to be read a second time on Monday 6 February, and to be printed (Bill 299) with Explanatory Notes (Bill 299–EN).
5 Transparency and consistency of sentencing
