measures when we reach the further stages of the Bill. Today, I would simply say that we are now seeing action being taken in high-profile cases, with convictions secured against a former Prime Minister, a former economy Minister and a former defence Minister.

Letter of correction from David Lidington:

An error has been identified in a statement given during my closing speech on 6 November 2012.

The correct statement should have been:

Mr Lidington: I shall perhaps have an opportunity to say more about the general issue of anti-corruption measures when we reach the further stages of the Bill. Today, I would simply say that we are now seeing action being taken in high-profile cases, including in the current trial against a former Prime Minister, and the convictions secured against a former economy Minister and a former defence Minister.
