Pre-legislative scrutiny of the Children and Families Bill:

Mr Robert Buckland declared his interest as a Crown Court Recorder and a practising barrister, although not currently involved in any relevant cases;

Mr Elfyn Llwyd declared that he would be practising family law again from 2013; and

Nick de Bois declared that he was participating in a mediation process.

Draft Report (Pre-legislative scrutiny of the Children and Families Bill), proposed by the Chair, brought up and read.

Ordered, That the draft Report be read a second time, paragraph by paragraph.

Paragraphs 1 to 199 read and agreed to.

Paragraph 200 read.

Amendment proposed, in the title of draft clause 1A, to leave out "1A Shared parenting parental involvement" and insert "1A Shared parenting".—(Nick de Bois.)

Question , That the Amendment be made, put and negativred.

Paragraph agreed to.

Paragraph 201 read and agreed to.

Summary agreed to.

Resolved, That the Report be the Fourth Report of the Committee to the House.

Ordered, That the Chair make the Report to the House.

Ordered, That embargoed copies of the Report be made available, in accordance with the provisions of Standing Order No. 134.

Written evidence was ordered to be reported to the House for printing with the Report, together with written evidence reported and ordered to be published on 7 and 20 November.
