The information which smart meters collect is for the benefit of the energy company, and can be sold on to third parties for commercial gain.

It will be of no benefit to the consumers, they already know how much energy they are using. Education on more efficient use would be of benefit, but smart meters won’t supply this.

The real worry for me, however, is the vehicle being used to communicate the data—microwaves these have been shown in many studies to be very harmful to human health.

There has been no testing by the energy companies of these dangers. Why are commercial interests being promoted above people’s health?
