I object to having a Smart Meter installed in my home and will refuse to have one. I am appalled that this is even being considered and really hope that there will be an element of choice. I am sensitive to electro-magnetic energy forces and choose not to have a microwave, cordless phone or mobile phone switched on in my home. My chronic insomnia has improved since I got rid of all electronic devices in my bedroom. For this reason, we choose not to have Wifi but opt for broadband instead. I live in a semi-detached house so if my neighbours have a smart meter, I too am exposed to the effects.

There MUST be an element of choice. I will not be forced to have a meter. I live in Southampton and am already being FORCED to have an industrial by-product added to my water called hexafluorosilicic acid (fluoride) by an unelected soon-to-be-scrapped quango despite being one of the 72% who objected during the so-called consultation.

Please do not force this on anybody as there are people with sensitivities in whom this technology WILL cause health problems. It would be unacceptable to roll this out regardless. People are not stupid and no government should be so dictatorial as to force this on everybody.
