Energy and Climate Change CommitteeWritten evidence submitted by Caroline Spear (SMR94)

Here are my views.

I do not want a smart meter in my home. We choose not to have a microwave due to the dangers of having this technology in our home.

We disconnect our wireless router when it is not in use. Again, I do not want the harm, or the microwaves emmitted by such technology. We all sleep much more soundly with the wireless router turned off and disconnected.

The prospect of having to have a smart meter installed in my home is an invasion of my privacy and my right to securely protect my home and my family.

I have the following questions:

1. where is the evidence that shows smart meters are safe, and have no effects on living tissue?

2. Have you read and understood the Bioinitiative report 2007, and the revised report 2012 ?

I do not want a smart meter which has a microwave impulse of 900 MHz pulsating between 17,000 and 119,00 times a day throughout your home. The radiation level can be as much as 600 times the EPA accepted “safe level”.

Where is the safety for my family and pets?

What rights do you have to enforce such risks upon us?

I hope to hear from you.
