13. Andrew Sells recently retired as Chairman of
the Garden Centre Group, a company with turnover of about £270
million a year, which employs around 4,500 people. He presently
chairs a Department of Work and Pensions task force considering
the efficiency of that Department's work programme. He initially
qualified as a Chartered Accountant and previous positions include
roles in venture finance and as Chair of Linden Homes. He is also
a trustee of the Policy Exchange thinktank.
